We have been busy manufacturing 2", 4" and 6" PTFE reducing coupling clamps for use in a biotechnology company in California. The end-user contacted us for help with replacing some no-hub couplings in one of their building's industrial wastewater systems. The Viton o-rings were failing due to chemical incompatibility. Our solution is made from virgin PTFE with FEP encapsulated silicone rubber o-rings. The design ensures leak-tight joints between their Fuseal pipe and the cast iron drainpipe. The end user found greater chemical resistance, significant lower cost and flexible installation time and is ordering more! Shipping out ten solid PTFE nozzle liners in sizes 4, 8 and 10 today for use in an agricultural facility! Micromold Products acquires Mazak Milling Machine! New to Micromold Products, Inc., the Mazak VTC200B CNC Vertical Machining Center! The new machine allows Micromold to produce larger products with less setup and programming time. We can now more easily meet our customer’s requests for shorter lead times and special sizes for products like PTFE and PVDF tanks, PTFE startup and baffle strainers and other custom designs. We received a grant towards the purchase of this machi...ne from the NY State Workforce Development Institute (WDI). WDI funding is determined by the NY State Senate and Assembly. Assemblywoman Shelley Mayer, along with Sonja Brown of Workforce Development Institute and Harold King of Council of Industry, visited our facility to see how the grant we received was put to use. Micromold’s PVDF basket strainer manufacturing process includes the bottom plug of our PVDF strainer body being joined with a buttress thread for strength then hand-welded in place. Our employees take great pride in passing along the tribal knowledge they’ve gained from many years of experience. Learning to weld requires developing great technique to balance variables like speed and temperature. FLUOR-O-FLO PTFE plug valves are well suited for use in industries that demand purity and extreme corrosion resistance. We offer quarter-turn 2-way plug valves in full port configuration. The smooth, one-piece plug design of these valves eliminates entrapment cavities common in ball valves. The self-lubricating, self-cleaning wiping action is simpler and more reliable than ball valves. Sealing surfaces are micro-polished. To ensure leak tight performance, all valves are indi...vidually tested at or above their rated pressure. The valves are also suitable for vacuum service. These valves are designed to complement Micromold’s FLUOR-O-FLO PTFE NPT piping system. Valves with other connections (Tri-Clamp, flanged, etc.) are available on special order. So, if you don’t see it listed, just ask! For manual operation, the valves are equipped with a Kynar PVDF handle. For connecting to actuators, valves are available with an optional round pocket with slots; low breakaway and moving torque allows use of smaller, low power, lower-cost actuators. Integral mounting holes in the valve body allow simple but rugged attachment to panels and piping supports.

Our FLUOR-O-FLO fluoroplastic strainers are well suited for use in removing suspended or waste solids from extremely corrosive or high-purity fluid streams. They help prevent damage to sensitive downstream process components such as pumps, valves, instruments, and spray nozzles. When compared with PVC, CPVC, or polypropylene units, their all fluoroplastic construction provides superior corrosion resistance, as well as a higher operating temperature range. Screw caps (Y-Strai...ners) and screw tops (Basket Strainers) allow easy strainer cartridge removal and cleanout. Drain-plugs allow drainage of residual liquids before cartridge removal. FEP encapsulated o-rings seats prevent blow-by and external leakage. For maximum installation flexibility, a wide range of mesh screens and connections are available in our standard product lines.
