Being a One Person Show (secretary, provider....) does not always allow me to answer the phone when you call; it means that when I am not here the office is closed; it means that you sometimes have to wait. At this time we are prioritizing appointments and seeing patients who are experiencing difficulties first and will see routine appointments or baseline examinations at a later time. For anyone in the audiology community that was not yet aware, Jim Feuerstein passed away Monday. He was a mentor to many a budding audiologist and friend to more. Prayers to his family

We continue to keep our doors closed through the pandemic of COVID - 19. While our industry defines the services we, as an audiologist and hearing aid specialist, provide, we feel as though it is our social responsibility to keep our doors closed. There are other hearing healthcare providers that remain open. If you choose to utilize their services during our closure, please know we will support any decision you make. How we, as individuals, respond is up to each of us. We ...EACH make the decisions that we feel is best for us, our families and our patients. Bless each of you. **** COVID - 19 UPDATE **** Governor Andrew Cuomo is now mandating that 100% of New York's workforce must stay home. The governor's latest mandate will take effect on Sunday, March 22, 2020. While Audiology services are vitally important, we have decided to heed the Governor's mandate and close Morabito Hearing Aid Center until such a time when it is safe to re-open. ... I will be checking emails and Facebook correspondences daily in the even that you wish to contact us. COVID - 19 UPDATE We understand that proper hearing is an important quality of life issue and are balancing the issue of overall health and hearing health. To keep our patients safe, we have made the decision to reduce business hours as well as to see patient's for urgent matters only. Hours for the week of March 16th, 2020 are as follows: ... Monday, March 16th: 9am - 5pm Tuesday, March 17th: 9am - 3pm Wednesday, March 18th: Closed Thursday, March 19th: 9am - 3pm Friday, March 20th: 9am - 3pm If you have a routine appointment scheduled between now and April 17th we will be calling you to reschedule your appointment. In response to the recommendations by the CDC and the Monroe County Department of Health, Morabito Hearing Aid Center is taking the following precautions we ask that you do request nor keep an appointment, if you - have traveled outside the United States in the last 14 days - have had contact with someone known to have the COVID - 19 virus - currently exhibit a fever over 100 degrees F, a cough, or difficulty breathing - have had any of the above symptoms in the past 14 days... At Morabito Hearing we are diligently keeping common areas cleaned and sanitized. We are wiping down patient areas between patients with cavicide. We are washing our hands for at least the recommended 20 second. If either Andrew or I feel that we are ill we will not be open to patients. Good Friday morning! Morabito Hearing Aid Center will be open ALL DAY today! Thank you to our patients who have been supportive and understanding during the past couple of weeks with our reduced hours and sudden closures. Our family is currently happy and healthy and we look forward to serving you.
