For all of you out buying ammo? The two pictures are a recent purchase at a walmart. After purchasing the ammo it was noticed that the neck was cracked on one o...f the shell casings. So every round was inspected and 13 out of 60 of the shells had cracked necks. This isnt walmarts fault. This is the fault of the new manufacturer of remington ammo since post bankruptcy purchase. Vista outdoors purchased Remington ammunition post bankruptcy and seems to have no quailty control. Please check your ammo before purchasing. A cracked shell casing will cause the firearm to exploded and cause severe injury..even death. Just wanted to pass along this info. A lot of first time gun buyers out there and dont know what a danger this is! Please inspect your ammo! ( as a add on to this post there has been some comments on the second picture as a reload so I have a picture of a UNFIRED round . Just remember if a round with a crack gets fired it will look as the second picture and may or may not result in a srib in your barrel ) See more

Dear Camp Families, DEC regrets to announce that its in-person summer camps program will not operate in 2021. The health and safety of our campers and staff h...ave always been the top priority for DEC summer youth camps. Camp staff worked diligently to review guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, American Camp Association, and other residential camps to develop a plan to be able to welcome campers this summer. After careful consideration we determined there are too many uncertainties beyond our control to ensure our camps could open and operate safely. While we are sad to make this announcement, we are making plans to create fun virtual opportunities for the summer of 2021 so campers and their families can stay connected to the DEC camp program. Check out the DEC camps webpage to find out what we’re planning and contact us at [email protected] if you have any topics you’d like to see in our line-up. And mark your calendars2022 is the 75th anniversary of the camp program and we want you to help us celebrate!

After thirty-two years of faithful service to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and residents of Dutchess County, Lieutenant Frank Lamonica's last day on the... job is today, December 21st, 2020. Lt. Lamonica began his career at the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office in September of 1988 as a uniformed Deputy Sheriff assigned to road patrol. In 1994 Lt. Lamonica became a K9 handler and patrolled the County on the overnight shift with his partner, K9 Max. Due to his dedication and professionalism Lt. Lamonica quickly rose through the ranks, and was promoted to Sergeant in 2000 and then Lieutenant in 2009. Throughout Lt. Lamonica's career he's handled two (2) patrol dogs, Max and Bojar. He has served as the Sheriff's Office’s DWI Coordinator which includes overseeing all DWI enforcement operations, and has been the Shift Commander of one of the busiest patrol shifts (4pm 12am) since 2009. Lieutenant, you've accomplished a lot and certainly earned your retirement. Your everyday presence and guidance will certainly be missed by everyone here at the DCSO. We all wish you the very best in your future endeavors! Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Frank Lamonica on his retirement! Congratulations LT!!!
I know a ton of you hunt or have family that does so I want to pass this along. My son Christian was duck hunting Saturday and he shot but the gun misfired. He ...took the shell out that misfired and put in a new one. The next time he shot, his gun barrel exploded. Praise God for protecting him. What happened was the wadding from the misfired shell lodged in the barrel, unknowing to him, and the next time he shot, the barrel exploded. Please let everyone know to check their barrel if a shell misfires. See more
Please take a moment to remember and pray for those Americans lost or injured at Pearl Harbor 79 years ago today.
