Think about participating...
The Neurocognition of Language Laboratory at Teachers College, Columbia University is seeking children from 6 - 12 years old to participate in a brain study of visual-sensory processing. We are looking for typically developing (neurotypical) children and children with autism spectrum disorder who are not currently taking psychiatric medications. We measure the brain’s electrical activity, using small electrodes which rest on the scalp. This technique, called electroencephalography (EEG), is safe and non-invasive. The experimental procedures will consist of autism assessment scales and EEG. The experiment will take approximately 2 hours. Each child who completes the experimental activities will receive a $25 gift card.
Great summary of some fascinating work....
