Last week, a New York Federal judge ruled to reinstate DACA as it was originally created in 2017. Our office is here to support you and answer any questions you might have about renewals and applications. More than 90% of NMCIR Civics students pass the U.S.Citizenship test after taking a course with us. 65% of students advanced to the next English level.... In 2017 NMCIR was awarded the Community Service Award by the Hispanic Federation. NMCIR’s Executive Director was appointed to the NYC Mayor’s Advisory Council for Labor and Workforce. 2020: Distributed $800,000 in emergency cash assistance to non-green card holders in NYC in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs. Our Board is 60% female, 100% Latino 100% of our staff speak more than one language (All of our staff are fluent in Spanish, 85% identify as an immigrant, refugee, or asylee, 85% are women and 15% are male.)
