PSAT Updates: High schools in the SCSD did not participate in the originally scheduled October 14th administration of the PSAT/NMSQT. The College Board has added Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 as a new PSAT/NMSQT administration date. ... The January administration will have the same benefits as the October PSAT/NMSQT, including eligibility for programs administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. If we receive guidance that the SCSD will be offering the PSAT/NMSQ on January 26th, 2021, we will communicate this to our students and their families.

SAT Updates: High schools in the SCSD did not participate in the originally scheduled October 14th administrations of the SAT School Day. The College Board has scheduled SAT School Day administration dates in March and April of 2021. If we receive guidance that the SCSD will be offering the SAT School Day during the 2020-2021 school year, we will communicate this to our students and their families.... Students register on their own for Saturday SAT administrations. Diploma and Credential Options for Students with Disabilities Sponsored by: Central New York Special Education Task Force Date: Wednesday, November 4, 2020... Time: 10:00 am 12:00 pm Location: Zoom Please note: A Zoom link will be sent to your email 24 hours in advance of the training. Topic Description: Thinking about what you want to do after high school is exciting. Preparation for that journey is key while you are still in school. A high school diploma is achieved through mastering state academic standards, passing required tests and courses and earning credits. In this training, we will explain the different requirements for the Regents and Local Diploma. We will also discuss how students can use their strengths to achieve a diploma through multiple pathways. We will explore the importance of career readiness skills and the credentials available. Information will also be shared regarding the Mid-State Partnership. Our Presenter: Kristine O’Brien has been a Resource and Referral Specialist with Syracuse University since 2010. She is an enthusiastic and inspiring speaker. Kristine has both personal and professional knowledge as an effective advocate and partner with school districts. She has seen first-hand, working with her son’s own school team, the benefits of a collaborative approach. Her passion for helping families navigate the special education process is evident in all aspects of her work. Kristine is an active member in many local community organizations including her longstanding involvement with her school district’s Parent Teacher Group and with the Central New York Autism Society of America.
