The Olney Place... on Keuka 01.07.2021

Good afternoon! As you can see from the photos below, we've been busy the last two weeks. For those of you planning on making an appearance tomorrow, please take note of the following traffic update.. Unfortunately, we were unable to stripe and curb the new parking lot before Saturday's highway cleanup event. For now, please do the best you can to acclimate yourself to the new traffic flow pattern. By next week, you will notice the driveway marked as "one way." Guests will be... entering our lot from the north/PY end, parking diagonally on both sides, then exiting through the south/Hammondsport end of the driveway. More regular hours will resume next week, starting Thursday. Please continue to look for updates in the days ahead.. After 14 years, we are excited to have you experience a teeth-chattering-free ingress and egress from The Olney Place!

One Day Olney! We wanted to feel a little more comfortable with the weather forecast, as well as the status of a small project we've been working on, before making this special announcement: The Olney Place will be open to the public, this Saturday (5/15), from 8am-5pm in celebration of Route 54 Cleanup Day! ... In a coordinated effort with KanPak, Camp Arey, and the FFA, we will be cleaning up our respective stetches of Adopt-A-Highway. The Olney Place is looking for 20 volunteers to help pick up trash along our 2 mile stretch of road and support our partners in making this gigantic effort. Volunteers from all groups are expected to meet at The Olney Place by 9:30am for a safety meeting and will be required to sign a NYSDOT Liability Release form. You will be provided with a safety vest, gloves, pick-up sticks and bags, just bring a smiling face and some ambition! Please plan on at least 4 hours of cleanup duty. Participants will be treated to lunch and a drink, sponsored by Knapp & Schlappi Lumber and Wine Trail Properties. All interested parties should either comment below or email [email protected]. Our deli menu will be extremely limited and the shelves will still mostly be bare, but the following items will be available; Breakfast sandwiches, sticky buns, potato salad, soup, Rachels, draft beer. Please follow this thread for any updates that will be may have between now and Saturday. We look forward to seeing you!

Well, this is it, the last advertised weekend on the 2020 schedule. Our 13th season will be one to remember for many reasons. This is your final chance to grab a Rachel, sticky bun, or frothy pint before we lock the doors for a while. TONIGHT (10/9): JR's Fish Fry! Come out and enjoy what many call the best fish dinner in the area. Icelandic haddock or chicken tender dinners with sides for $15. Served 3-7pm.... We have plenty of great snacks, beers (including Heady Topper) and gear left on the shelf, so be sure to stop by and stock up on your favorite QKA goodies. Thank you for your continued support of this business. We could never do it without you!

A true sign of the times... At the store, we don't need a calendar to tell us that the end of the season is near.. When we sell four sticky buns in the first two hours, on a Saturday, it's time to wrap it up! Including today, there are six days on our remaining schedule. Tomorrow, from noon-4p, we have a guest chef returning to the kitchen. Our longtime friend, Rob Ross, will be whipping up a giant batch of pork bolognese with meatballs to top the ricotta gnocchi we've been making all week. Your meal will be completed with a delightful hunk of crispy baguette and a QKA cookie! We will have football games streaming on both TVs as we attempt to empty what's left in the kegs. Be sure to put an extra layer on, it's a brisk one out there!
