Good evening, As we all know, the impact of COVID-19, the coronavirus, has dramatically affected the way in which we go about our lives. I would like to remind everyone that all of the precautions set in place at the city, state, and federal levels are important and warranted. I would also like to remind everyone that these precautions are in place because currently, the only way to eliminate the virus is to stop it's spread. While there is no need to panic, please keep in mi...nd the old adage, "an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure." These words could not be more appropriate than during these times. With that said, I would like to inform all of you of the additional protocols that are being put in place at One Love Orthodontics in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among our community. Firstly, what is NOT changing: As has always been done, we will continue to follow universal precautions of infection control. This includes full sterilization of the operatories and instruments between patients as well as the use of disposable barrier tape, headrests, and tray covers for all touched surfaces. One Love has always prided itself on being a clean, safe, and friendly environment to receive orthodontic treatment. We will continue to do the utmost that we can in order to continue to deliver that experience. In addition, the following protocols will also be put into place: -All patients will receive reminder text messages to reschedule their appointment if they have a fever, flu-like symptoms, or have recently traveled. Anyone presenting to the office who is sick will not be seen and will be asked to reschedule. -We will be removing chairs from our reception area to allow more distance between those who are waiting to be seen. If you do not find any chairs in the waiting room, please sign-in and let us know you are here. You may be instructed to wait outside until you are called to the treatment area. -We ask that if your child needs to be accompanied to the office, that only one family member accompany the child in order to limit the amount of people in the office. -For those teenagers who are old enough to enter the office
