@chrisenriquezdrums There are many great things about hardcore music. One of them is how it connects people who feel like outsiders through music but also a lifestyle. A unique part is that being health conscious is one of those factors depending on which part of the movement you choose to be part of. Recently I saw @organicgrill has a show called @ogtalknyc and have had guests like @johnjosephcromag of Cro Mags JM, @derrickgreenofficial of @sepultura , @craigahead @armandofi...tall of @sickofitallnyc and more. I also noticed they are a sponsor of NYHC Chronicles, which I watch regularly. Somehow even though I lived in the East Village for many years, only two blocks away, this organic vegan restaurant flew under the radar until now. As I recently posted, I am slowly working towards transitioning from a pecatarian to a vegan because I think it's better for the mind, body and planet but I suffer serious eczema / psoriasis issues and my diet is limited, even when it comes to plant based food. I cannot eat soy, gluten, some nuts, some vegetables and some fruits, which is frustrating and harms me in ways that really suck. This place has lots of gluten and soy free options. When I told the owner, Vlad that I loved his show and then mentioned what I did for a living between @revolvermag @inkedmag , @thehardtimesnews and my bands @spotlightsmusic and @totalmeltdownnyhc we immediately bonded about punk, hardcore, metal, NYC, food, dietary restrictions. He fed me, made a custom meal, hooked me up big time and the food was absolutely delicious. I am now going to be a lifelong supporter and customer and made a new friend in the neighborhood. Scroll through to see the kung pao bowl and chocolate raspberry cake, both gluten and soy free. Unfortunately I downed the fresh pomegranate juice before taking a pic. Everything was unbelievable. I'm feeling more encouraged to transition to vegan as my journey gets easier through places like Organic Grill. I'm not there yet but working on it. We , at OG , are not early adaptors when it comes to setting outdoor seating .lol. But we are finally there. It looks like we should thank our genius city administration for helping us to learn a lot of new skills this year : carpentry , collecting public garbage that is dropped next to us , protecting our clients from folks that disturb them while having dinner . Oh , ye, I am looking forward to checking temperature of our clients , taking their info and reporting it . All the good stuff . Everything I was dreaming of when I have opened OG exactly twenty years ! Who should I send my personal thank you note?

And this is how community binds and unites. Friends bring friends and family members . You get to know them , they get to know you and your food ! And hopefully you have great time ! And then they start to love vegan food . And then they start to notice it make them feel better . Vegan food should be fun !
