Yesterday we paid our final Respects to a father, uncle, friend and brother. It was not an easy day for any of us there. The logistics and planning to assist the family with whatever needs they had was challenging but certainly paid off in the end. We cannot possibly thank everyone individually on here without leaving someone out on accident. So we want to thank EVERYONE that had any part of planning to support this past week and yesterday immensely. We could not have do...ne it without all coming together within the community and surrounding neighbors. Thank you all again Rest In Peace John and Char We’ve got it from here

At 15:26hrs Nedrow Fire was requested to 81 northbound for an MVC involving two tractor trailers. Nedrow RP1 went enroute on dispatch as it was clearing a prev...ious tree on wires call. R2 went enroute with members on standby. R2 and RP1 were first arriving rescues and began to set up hydraulics to gain access to the patient. The crews from both trucks removed the passenger side door and passenger seat to fully assess the patient. It was found at this time that the patients leg was pinned and due to the damage to the vehicle extrication was going to be needed under the cab itself. County mutual aid companies arrived and the vehicle was stabilized with struts. Taunton/city units began extrication under the cab and once the patients leg was freed County and City units removed the patient with a backboard and into the ambulance. Fortunately the patient had minor injuries. Great teamwork displayed by all departments on scene both paid and volunteer. Thank you to Otisco Fire Department for standing by at our station. This has been a busy day for Nedrow with 4 calls total with 2 of those being separate MVCs. We are currently at 368 calls for the year. See more
