You're setting the tables BUT are you setting the Expectations? Many people are going to book private parties for the upcoming holiday season. Manage the expectation upfront to combat any unnecessary letdown. A great way to communicate changes is to modify your menu (print & online) to reflect any changes people can expect. Don’t wait until someone calls to inform them.... Giancarlo’s Sicilian Steakhouse has communicated any modifications and additional policies in their one-time-use takeaway Private Events Menu. (Reference picture) Are you a Palmer Partner and need some advice on wording OR your menus re-designed to accommodate new policy changes? We’re happy to help you re-design your menu! Not yet a customer and want to partner with a company that will deliver more than a box of fries? Email us today. We can connect you with a specialist to get you up and running as a Palmer preferred partner.

Are you telling your customers all the things you have done to keep staff and customers safe to dine inside? Communication is key in any relationship especially during difficult times. The bond between a Restaurant and Customer is not to be ignored. Outdoor dining is still possible for September and the beginning of October because we are in Upstate NY and Sweater Weather is an actual mindset. BUT it’s crucial to get your message across to customers NOW about what you are ...doing to create a safe environment. With this reassurance, their transition to dining inside will be less rocky. An easy first step would be to add a blurb to your menu. (To-go, Online, Catering) Example: We are strictly adhering to the Department of Health COVID-19 Guidelines. We take the safety of staff and customers very seriously. Tables are spread out and we are operating at 50% capacity. Staff wear masks and cleaning measurements are adhered to. Already did that? Ok now add your message in a string of posts on your social media pages. Pictures speak for themselves. A photo of staff with a mask with a fun profile is engaging and reinforces safety. (reference photo as example) Now Go Communicate!
