ChiltonLibrary brings you up-to-date vehicle information on over 2,600 vehicles from 1940 to today. This continuously updated resource provides step-by-step repair procedures, troubleshooting guides, diagnostic trouble codes, photos, illustrations, diagrams, and multimedia (videos and animations) to simplify even the most complicated tasks.

Whether you are buying a ticket for our scavenger hunt or donating money, your contribution is helping the Prendergast Library support our community through partnerships and outreach programs. Last week we outlined our plan to improve community outreach, this week you’ll learn about how we plan to grow partnerships with local organizations. The library is committed to serving our community in the areas it is most needed. We want to work with hospitals, mental health providers, daycares, shelter, nursing homes, arts and cultural organizations to provide materials and programming that will improve the lives of the people they serve. An essential part of this goal is expanding our volunteer base and including representatives from different community partnerships on programming and service-based committees.

Wednesday is a busy day at the library! #summer2021

For this week's staff pick, Kristie has selected "The Invisible Library" by Genevieve Cogman. "If you like a mix of fantasy and science fiction with a dash of steampunk, check out the Invisible Library. In the universe of the Invisible Library, there are three main groups: the dragons who insist on logic and order, the Fae who are infused with chaos and embody story archetypes, and Librarians who are humans." Wednesday, June 9th, we will have a live storytime at the Fenton History Center. Tune in at 10:30am for the storytime, and to learn more about the Fenton's new LGBTQ+ exhibit: "Protest and Pride: the LGBTQ+ Community in Chautauqua County."

Did you know that the Prendergast Library has Jamestown High School yearbooks from 1901 through the most recent year? There are a few gaps in the early years. You can request a yearbook to look at in the library at the front desk or at the center information desk, and a staff member will retrieve it for you. Yearbooks can not circulate and are quarantined after use, so some years aren't available if used recently. #tbthursday
