One Day Mindful Skiing Coming to Whiteface Mountain on Tuesday, February 23rd! Mindful Skiing - Pro Jam's ever-popular Flow State elective has been redesigned as a one-day event called "Mindful Skiing". Participants will explore how to build energy at their core and direct it fluidly from turn to turn. Drawing from Martial Arts principles, basic geometry, and guided imagery, coaches will share how to direct these elements on the mountain playground. Prior experience with meditation or visualization is unnecessary, as the action of skiing is the meditation. Find your center and enter the flow state. CS1 Children’s Stew The Meat & Potatoes of the Children’s Specialist 1 Are you looking for a great way to prepare for a Children’s Specialist 1 course? Perhaps you just want to up your teaching game a bit? Check out this new offering from PSIA-AASI Eastern Division on Wednesday, February 10 at 7:00 PM EST. ... This webinar will use the CAP model to relate to how kids think, feel, and move at different stages of development. Learn how you can add a little creativity to your teaching by using props, varied terrain, and kid friendly ideas to provide a kid-centric and fun lesson. As part of the course we will review the Real vs. Ideal movements you should be aware of while working with kids. Completion of this course will add just the right tools to help you prepare for a Children’s Specialist 1 course, and give you some fresh ideas for your days on the slopes with some excited kids!
