Senior and soon-to-be Imaging science grad makes dream job at Facebook a Reality!

We are pleased to announce that Christopher Kanan has been awarded tenure and promoted to Associate Professor. Chris has won over $3M in grants, published 55 refereed papers, advised 9 PhD students, and has mentored over 50 interns / senior projects / capstones over the past decade. Congratulations, Dr. Kanan!

We are so excited to announce that Lily Gaffney has been chosen as the John Wiley Jones Award winner for the Center for Imaging Science. Congratulations to her and the other outstanding recipients in the RIT College of Science.

From RIT to breast cancer imaging research! This imaging science alumna is now pursuing her Ph.D. at UC Davis in biomedical engineering and working on breast ca...ncer imaging research with Dr. John Boone. The imaging science program at RIT combines physics, engineering, computer science, and math into one distinctive degree that helps graduates move the world forward.
