Today's spotlight is on this stunning encaustic painting by RIT Alum Carey Corea. 'Angels in the Mist' initially debuted in the RIT University Gallery exhibition 'Renewable Futures - The cultivation of propagation of creativity rooted in the 1960s'. While exhibitions in University Gallery are on hold, we can share inspirational images from our sister shop/gallery Shop One - RIT Global Village. Featured is the 'Spool Table' by RIT College of Art and Design professor Andy Buck. Cool too, that Shop One has partnered with Artsy to feature select works by our esteemed artists, craftsmen and designers!

Bevier Gallery, University Gallery at RIT and William Harris Gallery have been creatively repurposed this semester to meet unique academic needs. They've been outfitted with work benches, desks, easels, computers and other technology.

What a decade! 10 years ago today, we celebrated the opening of the Vignelli Center for Design Studies and University Gallery. Today VCDS launched their digital archives. They joined Google Arts & Culture to share the archives virtually. It's a treasure trove of over 900 images from the archives - view of the galleries, stories highlighting the work of the Vignellis and the designers who collaborated with them.
