Job Fair at Gorbel this Wednesday!

Learn the basics of chainmail! You will have the opportunity to make your own jump rings or make a bracelet from a selection provided. Utilizing the Byzantine weave or European 4 in 1, students will then create their own wearable piece of art. This class takes place on Mon Feb 22 from 6:00-9:00pm. Coppery goodness from one of our date night classes this weekend. We made copper roses to adorn wine bottle stoppers. Starting with nothing but a few bits of copper sheet we show you how to cut, form, and add life to these mini metal sculptures. There are still a few spots left in our February date night classes. Hey folks, three main announcements at this time: 1.) November & December Classes 2020: We've got some classes back on the website for signup NOW. Waitlisted students and those who had classes cancelled were emailed last week. We're doing our best to give these folks first dibs, and from here, we will list additional classes available online for YOU to signup. Keep your eyes on our website! Got questions? PLEASE call us at 585-349-7110 or email us at "[email protected]" to reserve a spot! Daytime hours include Monday 9:30am-4:30pm, Wednesday 10:30am-5:30pm, and Friday 9:30am-4:30pm. Weeknight and Weekend options to be announced and listed online! We've reduced capacity to 4 stations, with new social distancing procedures including mandatory mask wearing. There is some new paperwork we'll go over including our COVID Waiver, COVID Health Screening questionnaire, and an updated renter cleaning list. Who else loves Bladesmithing? Smithing is one of the oldest metalworking occupations. Shaping metal with and hammer and anvil is the most prominent component of smithing. In bladesmithing, knives or axes are created from carbon steel by forging the metal, using tools to hammer, bend, and cut. Stay tuned to our upcoming schedule for classes in smithing!
