Film Noir Double Feature "The Case of the Night Train Riddle" is the 24th episode of the 1954-1955 TV series Sherlock Holmes starring Ronald Howard as Sherlock Holmes and Howard Marion-Crawford as Dr. Watson. Aired on April 11, 1955. Holmes and Dr. Watson search for a missing boy called Paul (James Doran) on the train they are traveling in. Paul had quarreled with his father and decided to run away. Holmes is able to prevent Paul, being held for ...his father's fortune, from being killed. "The Stranger" starring Edward G. Robinson and Loretta Young, directed by Orsen Welles in 1946. Wilson of the War Crimes Commission is seeking Franz Kindler, mastermind of the Holocaust, who has effectively erased his identity. Wilson releases Kindler's former comrade Meinike and follows him to Harper, Connecticut, where he is killed before he can identify Kindler. Now Wilson's only clue is Kindler's fascination with antique clocks; but, though Kindler seems secure in his new identity, he feels his past closing in.
