Today is Amanda’s last day as our CEO. We wish her the best of luck in her role as the CEO of @USRowing! In 2002, Amanda founded Row New York with a mission to change girls’ lives through the sport of rowing. Over the last 18 years, our mission expanded to boys, people with disabilities, Veterans and more, impacting thousands of New Yorkers across the five boroughs. ~ We commemorated this bittersweet moment by naming a boat after Amanda Kraus in honor of her work to make rowing accessible to New Yorkers regardless of their background or ability. This not a goodbye- Amanda has joined the Row New York board of directors. We’re so excited for the future of rowing in this city and in our country. We hope you are too!

Paralympian Oksana Masters talks about her experience as a rower in a recent ESPN article: "When I got on the dock, I took my prosthetic leg off and pushed away on the boat. That feeling -- it was just like that first-sip-of-coffee-in-the-morning feeling. When you take that sip and you're like, "Oh my god, the world's amazing right now." I loved it."
