Okay, I said I will open with the rest of Erie, but didn't expect it to come this quick. But nevertheless, we are going to open for indoor seating, for AYCE tomorrow. Hours will be updated soon, check the business info page.

I had to edit this post because I noticed that I was being inconsiderate. I am not encouraging anyone to go out and eat or do take-out only. I am only stating the current operating status of my restaurant. Saika Sushi will remain takeout only. Indoor dining will reopen with the rest of Erie County when the government deem it safe to operate.

We will be closed tomorrow on Christmas and also Saturday (December 25 and 26) due to the forecasted heavy snow. Please share this post with your friends and family if you know they love sushi. Stay warm and be safe, and have a Merry Christmas.

We are going to reopen tomorrow for takeout and delivery (on Doordash, Ubereat, and Grubhub). Our hours are as follows: Monday - Friday: 11AM - 10PM Saturday - Sunday: 12PM - 10PM

Okay, here we go. I got a few announcements. 1. Dining in starts this Thursday. 2. Hours for dining in: 4:30PM - 9:30PM ONLY EVERYDAY. 3. Carryout orders can be placed throughout the day.... 4. Due to rising supply cost, the Dinner prices are now $21.95 for adults, $12.95 and $8.95 for kids in their respective age group. (This isn't reflected on the online menu yet, you will be told this again before seating). 5. Operating at 50% capacity, so please expect long wait time during peak hours. We will take your numbers down and call you once seating becomes available. Please wait outside in the parking lot and in your cars. 6. Must make reservation if more than 4 people in your group. 7. Other than #6 above, walk in only, no reservation. 8. I will post updates on this page if anything. Thank you for your support, Hong Zheng

I was very touched by something happened earlier today. One elderly lady entered my restaurant and walked up to the little window where I hand people their food. She reached through the opening and in her hand she held up a few $20 bills. She said this was part of her Corona Money. She told me that she was not rich, but believed there are people who needed the money more than her, so she was going around to give help to people. ... She said she knew I had just recently opened and probably spent a lot of money on renovation, and then business had suffered due to this pandemic, and would like me to have the money. I expressed my deepest gratitude for her and then said I am doing fine and don’t need the money, and there are many others out there that are in more dire need than me. She asked me couple more times and then finally left after I ensured her that I was doing alright. The money might be little, but her heart was worth millions. I didn’t ask for her name, and I honestly admit that I am bad with remember people’s faces and names. But I am sure the watchful eyes in the heaven above had seen it all, and will bless her now and forever after. Let the goodness in people live on forever, and help us all through this difficult time.

This is Hong, owner/manager of Saika Sushi. I have to apologize to everyone that either called or placed online order. I didn't expect my first day reopening for takeout to be this busy, and was really under prepared and under staffed, and made people wait and possibly messed up some of the orders. However, I am really glad that Saika is getting this much support and love from this community. I can't promise that I will not make mistakes in the future, but I will do my best to mitigate it.
