Happy Friday post! 1) The Vilas Home has some amazing employees 2) This week we threw a party to celebrate these employees (special shout out to Anna, Mary, and Faith who have all been here for 20+ years!!! We planted trees in their honor) 3) Eli showed up like a Willy Wonka/Santa Claus/Oprah hybrid and gave flowers, candy, and really awesome gifts to long term employees... 4) We have a new team member in Maintenance named Carlos who in the last two weeks has painted rooms, fixed phones, installed an ice machine, planted trees, and ate a jelly donut I think that's just about everything... Quick shout-out to the man, the myth, the legend, Metal Man! I went to Walmart to buy some supplies for Vilas today and locked my keys in the car. Not only does Curt save airheads like me, he is a frequent visitor (prior to COVID) of the Vilas Home, oftentimes bringing ice cream for our residents, and is absolutely part of our family.
