SHOUT OUT TO OUR AMAZING TEAM Since the pandemic began, the NYS Department of Health performs more frequent inspections on facilities like ours. We never know when they are coming but we are always diligent in our protocols. This week they came in and as expected, found NO deficiencies. We want to thank our team for the care they provide our residents and for the diligence in keeping our facility clean and safe. They are all "healthcare heroes" at Schoellkopf!
Just a reminder that Schoellkopf has heated areas outdoors designated for window visits. We won't let the cold stop you from checking in with your loved ones.
At Schoellkopf Health Center we continue to take all precautionary measures to keep our residents and staff safe during this difficult time. We continue to test all residents and staff members on a weekly basis. We provide all residents with a new mask each morning and encourage them to wear them throughout the day when interacting with staff members. We encourage hand hygiene Before and between meals ... All staff are equipped with the appropriate PPE per NYS guidelines. Call 278-4578 for information on getting a loved one in for rehab services or long term placement.
Friends and families of Schoellkopf residents: Recently released guidance from New York State Department of Health for nursing home visitation implements specific guidelines (see fact sheet). Visits will only be allowed outside weather permitting, and limited to two visitors at a time. Visits will not be permitted in resident rooms or care areas. This form of visitation will resume immediately -Please contact the activities department to schedule your visit at (716) 278-4591. Reminder to visitors: Per NYS guidance-if any visitor fails to adhere to the protocol, they will be prohibited from visiting for the duration of the COVID-19 state declared public health emergency. We appreciate your patience and your cooperation as resident safety is our top priority.
This beautiful couple is celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today! When asked what advice they’d give to married couples, Mr Cline referred to a sign hanging in his son’s house that reads YES, DEAR. Mrs Cline says It’s God’s will!
This means so much to us! Thank you Trisha!
When life hands you lemons (COVID-19), you make lemonade (visit with your mother through a no contact tent). Here’s just a few photos from our many Mothers Day visits that happened over the weekend!
