The Beluga Whale ZOO TO YOU program has been moved to August 27 @ 11am due to the remnants of Hurricane Elsa that is hitting Mystic, CT today. We apologize for the last minute change to this program, but make sure you create a reminder to see our aquatic friends then!

All of our Library Locations will be closed on Monday, July 5th in celebration of Independence Day. Every one stay safe and have a good time this weekend in-between the rain drops!

Our Niskayuna Branch Library will REOPEN on Thursday, July 1 @ 10am. Please note that the Air Conditioning is not fully fixed yet, so we will be constantly monitoring the comfort level inside that branch library until the unit is fully repaired. This may mean that if the temperature spikes again, we may have to close that building half way through the day. As always, please check here and scpl.org for any and all updates. It may be a good idea to call ahead if the temperature is above 85F at 518.386.2249.

Our Niskayuna Branch will be closed again on Wednesday. If you have holds at Niskayuna, they will still be there when this location reopens. If you have any questions, please call our Reference Desk at Central between 9am-5pm at 518-388-4511.

Due to the excessive heat, our air conditioning has broken at our NISKAYUNA BRANCH LIBRARY. Niskayuna will be closed the rest of today and the entirety of Tuesday while we rush to get it back up and running. In the meantime, please check our website for the days and times of other SCPL locations that you can use to pick out materials or to stay cool.
