How do you cut through all the noise to hear your own voice? And there is so much external noise these days-- just a 30-second glance at the news seems to saturate our capacity to hear and absorb anything at all. It made me think of this Sense Writing video-- about a woman who learned to do just this: cut through the noise and unlock her voice as a writer.... We made the video over five years ago, when I was teaching a lot of workshops in New York, as well as teaching in cities all over the world. It was a pretty moving experience. Being able to touch down in a city-- Istanbul, Berlin, Los Angeles-- and work with people as they learned to work with themselves on deep, foundational level of the body and nervous system. But I realized that intensive weekend workshops here and there would never give the same results as the immersive, comprehensive experience that my students back in Brooklyn, New York were experiencing over the years. Because when we’re working on such a foundational level with the body and nervous system, that’s what we need. Time. And Sense Writing has always been about long-term results over short term revelations. I created the 12-Week Sense Writing Course online because I wanted to share this with you no matter where you live.
