If you see this guy dragging me around the farm, please just pretend that I’m the one walking him. He’s a 65lb, 6 month old puppy, aptly named Dasher. And the newest member at Sipple’s Farm.

I am standing in the kitchen, the place where my grandmother would have stood and I am making some Thanksgiving dishes for my family. Our oldest son, who is stationed in Boston, is here with his wife and our three grandchildren. Our daughter and youngest son, are of course here too and everyone is pitching in to get everything ready. For tomorrow is opening day for our Christmas trees! And as I look out the window, taking in all that I see, I am completely overwhelmed with ho...w honored I feel that God chose me to be here. This farm is such a special place, the Christmas tree farm, created by my grandfather 40+ years ago and then the tradition carried on by my aunts and their families. I often feel so unworthy to fill their shoes. But they are shoes that I will gladly do my best for. Tomorrow, and the days that follow during this 2020 season, will look different. The gift shop won't be open. And due to building out a brewery, we won't have wreaths. (I know, I'm sorry!) And we will be wearing masks when around others. But! There will be hope with each Christmas tree that is chosen and there will be magic in the air! And I can't wait to spend this opening of the Christmas season with each of you that come!
