Yesterday, Ambassador Beresford-Hill made a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Viliami Va'inga Tn, the Permanent Representative of the Mission of Tonga to the United Nations. They had a very successful morning discussing future humanitarian cooperation between The Kingdom of Tonga and the Order of Malta UNHQ.

Kramatorsk train station had been an escape route for thousands of families fleeing Ukraine's war-torn Donetsk region. On Friday, attacks made it a death-trap. ...At the time, UNICEF was delivering supplies to the regional health department, a kilometre away from the train station. That week, UNICEF delivered 50 metric tons of lifesaving supplies including medicines, water and hygiene kits to #Kramatorsk in response to the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the east. As we do everything we can to reach children contending with the impacts of conflict and COVID-19, they must be protected from harm. #NotATarget
