A jaw dropping, innocent sweetie untoughened by reality. Callus free. Gives good cuddle. He’d be a lean, tea drinking, frisbee playing, poetry reading boy if he were a person. He’d like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches publicly even though they’re not manly. He’d take the morning off to help his mom get to a doctor’s appointment though the kind of manly you actually want. Urian’s genuine energy and smiling eyes would bathe you in adoration. He’d live for every moment ...that makes your heart flutter. This 4-month-old hound mix is the under the radar kid down the street we all have a crush on and his devotion to you only raises his stock in the eyes of all his obsessive fans. He’s loyal, loving, and ready for a lifetime of adventure. He’ll probably be around 55 lbs full grown, and he’s great with other dogs and a quick learner. He’ll need to join an active family ready to exercise his working breed genes mind and body. His foster mom says: Urian is doing great. We take two to three 2-4 mile long walks everyday where we jog, play with sticks, catch a scent, and bird/squirrel watch. We say hi to dogs from a distance but play with the neighbor’s dogs almost everyday they love Uri, and two of them are trained to visit nursing homes, so they are really quite amazing influences on a hyperactive puppy! Uri is a huge snuggler and sweetheart. He poops outside but is still mostly using the wee pads to pee. He learned his name, sit, and we are working on paw. We’re also working on our leash training. Uri loves consistency on his walks, so we have our long walk route and our short walk route. Uri definitely needs an extremely active home long term! He also believes he weighs maybe 5-10lbs and constantly lays across my neck, haha it’s adorable, but he’s about 22lbs now and he’s heavy! Interested in adopting? We're going for the low hanging fruit here if Robert Redford were a dog... Need we say more? Maverick revs our engines. Mature, wavy rust colored mane, overflowing with gentle kindness, humble. This 7-year-old golden retriever mix is the essence of darling, dear, divine. He's a canine angel pretty mellow, sweet to everyone, good with other dogs, and well mannered. He's an older boy for a big dog, so he'll need to join a home with a family ready for senior pooch care in th...e near future and eager to give him the stress free, love filled old dog days he deserves. We’d love to see him in the burbs with a yard and porch of his own. His foster dad, who's helped us out with many a pup in need, says: "All is well with Maverick! He is slowly settling in and getting used to things. Super friendly with everyone and fully house trained which is great! (A nice change from puppies haha). He is the definition of chill, so easy going that we haven’t even used the crate. It is pretty hard not to fall in love with him " Interested in adopting? We’re happy to report this old boy has some apps in the works, but take a chance. Submit an application at socialteesnyc.org or email your point person if you’ve already been approved! Ready for game time? We’re going to be psychic in a second. Here’s how it goes look at this dog’s face, let your gaze linger around her eyes and then glide up to the heart on her forehead. Now pause. What’s the first word that comes to mind? It’s soulful isn’t it. Notice how we didn’t end that last sentence with a question mark? That’s because it’s undeniable. Ginger emanates the word. This 3-year-old redtick coonhound is a hot flaky biscuit drenched in butter unmitigat...ed comfort. We rescued this gorgeous mama and her ten puppies (yeah, you read that right, yowza) a few weeks ago via our Tennessee partner, and everyone’s doing great up here. Her babies are up for adoption too, and they’re almost as good looking as she is. Ginger is 62 lbs of spotted artistry, and she’s got a temperament to match. She’s friendly, good with other dogs, well mannered, and patient. She’d do best in an active home and is ready to make your hound loving dreams come true. Her foster mom says: Ginger is playful and enjoys chewing on her bully stick and wants to be around people. She‘s a total mush in the house. She loves to cuddle on any soft surface she can find and hang around the general vicinity of whoever is around. She really started becoming more playful ie. chasing squeaky toys. Outside, she's nose to the ground on walks and likes to explore the park. She's friendly and curious about other dogs but hates big scary trucks or loud honks when walking on the street. She could probably use a little leash training as she pulls when she's on the scent of something but otherwise is all around well behaved. She's really a very sweet girl without an aggressive bone in her body. Interested in adopting? Submit an application at socialteesnyc.org or email your point person if you’ve already been approved! It's stupid how cute this dog is. You can't even see his underbite or see his adorable wiggles in this photo, so unless/until you meet him, you can't possibly know. Elmo is a waterfall of tail wags that cascades into a pool of smiles and snuggles. This 5-month-old chi-poo (chihuahua/poodle) is divine. He's excited to explore, walks well on a leash, and gets a big kick out of making new friends humans, dogs, even cats! He's working on his housebreaking skills and is doing wo...nderfully. He's sweet with gentle children, and he's super into his toys. He's around 12 lbs now and will probably be 16 lbs full grown, but don't let the diminutive stature fool you Elmo is all dog and needs solid training, boundaries, exercise, and socialization to help him keep growing toward that amazing dog we can already see him becoming. His foster mom says: "Elmo is great! He loves slippers and socks, but he loves a good smoke dog bone too. He's very friendly and quite the ladies man. He sleeps well at night and is not much of a barker. Elmo loves sleeping and sitting next to us on the couch. We go for walks three to four times a day, and he is picky about choosing a spot to go, so best for someone who doesn’t mind a 15 minute walk. He does not like to be rushed! LOL!" Something very little made a great big impression on our team this morning, and his name is Ken. One of a whopping 25 new arrivals from TN a few hours ago, this 8-week-old beagle mix baby had us in a crumbly pile of mush and baby talk the minute we met him. He’s insanely sweet, like a cookie with a face and paws. He’s such a smarty pants, like Albert Einstein with a wagging tail. He’s the most curious and playful, like a kitten but a puppy. We got it bad for Ken. This little ...chunk of amazing will probably be 25 lbs or so full grown, he’s well socialized so far, and he’ll need to join a forever home where his active, growing mind and body will get lots of exercise and training. Dying to see more of this guy? Head on over to @houstonandoakley, the two doggies serving as his big foster brothers. Interested in adopting? Let yourself fall for it. Yeah, he’s working you with those syrupy eyes, but what’s the worst that could happen? Let your guard down, have a new year new you moment where you toss inhibition to the wind, and just let the experience overtake you. Don’t worry, our strict ass application process will make sure you’re not being too impulsive. We vote go for it. Dudes like this 6-month-old Aussie mix don’t come around every day. Leon is classically charming, good natured, and bala...nced. He’s handsome, happy, and friendly with every human and animal he encounters, the one you can’t wait to smugly introduce to your friends. He’ll probably be in the 50s weight wise full grown and needs an active home to keep him fit mind, body, soul. His foster mom, who’s a first timer with us and admits he’s set the bar almost unapproachably high for future foster dogs, says: If you’re looking for a companion who will snuggle up to you on the couch and nap, look no further than this handsome boy, Leon. This precious little bean is all love and affection wrapped up in a goofy personality. He’s working really hard on his potty training and building up the courage to explore busy areas outside, but he’ll happily flop around like he has no bones anywhere there is carpet, and he is content just chewing on his bone. This pup is very patient and eager to please, and he is very smart, with limitless amounts of love to give. Leon took to crate training immediately and will sometimes put himself in his crate for alone time. He really loves Kacey Musgraves’ version of All is Found from Frozen 2 and dozes off to soft acoustic music. Interested in adopting?
