Also an Update I thought we could all use; Posted by Bob’s son last night: No jaw surgery today for Bob Evans Sr., rescheduled for tomorrow. No reason other than scheduling on the hospital's end. He continues to improve, so much so that I JUST spoke to the hospital and they moved him from the ICU to a private recovery room on the next floor up. PT had him sitting up for 4 minutes, 4 painful minutes but he fought through the pain like a champ. Today also brought some additional details of the crash to us from the Florida Highway Patrol. I was also able to retrieve their belongings from the bike now that it was released which will help us to continue healing. Get better every day and get home... that's what David Evans and I told him he better do, that's what we told him Mom would want, and I'll be damned seems like he listened to us. We all know the family will be incurring a lot of heavy expense which is just compounded by the many miles of separation from home and family. Good morning STHD Family. It is with a very heavy heart that I share the tragic news of our beloved HOG members and wonderful customers of ours, Bob and Deb Evans. Having just embarked on their maiden voyage south with the new motorhome, trailer and trike they were just beginning to enjoy their shared retirement in sunny Florida when they were involved in a devastating accident while on the Trike Thursday. Reports thus far indicate a motorist pulled out in front of them and t...hey T-boned with this vehicle. Having both been critically injured, Deb was removed from Life Support and passed yesterday after her sons Bobby and David were able to be with her. Bob remains in critical condition have undergone multiple surgeries and kept in sedated condition. There are more surgeries scheduled for him. It is difficult to put into words what these two dear friends meant to us all. Let's keep Deb, the Evans family and Bob's recovery in our prayers. Below is a post by their son Bobby : Dear Friends and Family, Today was by far the hardest day my brother David Evans and I have had to endure. We had to say good bye to our beloved mother, Deb Wood Evans. Her and my father were ready to embark on their new life enjoying each other and the rewards of a lifetime of labor. I am at comfort knowing she passed doing what she loved, with who she loved the most. I got to spend an amazing almost 40 years, and David 38, with the most loyal, loving and caring person in the world. We mourn today not only her loss, but in knowing that she had so much more life to live and love to give to her family. Our heart breaks for Zoey, Lily, Kyle and Tyler who only got to enjoy and share the love of their Grandmother for a few short years. We look forward to sharing the many memories, stories and love with them for the rest of time. As David and I said our final good byes, my mother passed peacefully as soon as we left her hospital room. I will forever believe that she left the room with us, to be with us and watch over our families as our angel. To the many family and friends who have reached out, we appreciate you all.
