Throughout St. Joseph’s Health, the health and well-being of our patients, their families, and of the communities we serve is our top priority. Acting out of an abundance of caution and in light of the increase in COVID cases in our community, St. Joseph’s Health Hospital will join with other local hospitals and restrict visitors for the protection of our patients and colleagues. Effective October 30, 2020 no visitors will be allowed. For more information visit: https://www.sjhsyr.org/coronavirus/#vr
St. Joseph’s Health is proud to recognize our chaplains during Spiritual Care Week Oct. 25-31, 2020 for providing spiritual support to those we serve, their loved ones and our colleagues who are affected by loss and grief. This week, many of our Health Ministries will recognize Spiritual Care by honoring the work and gifts of our spiritual caregivers. Trinity Health would like to extend a special thank you to our chaplains as you foster a safe place for patients and their families.

The St. Joseph’s Health Hospital NICU is celebrating its 50th anniversary today. The level III NICU was the first in the region when it opened in 1970. A special day for families and our NICU team past and present. In honor of this special day we'll be celebrating with a Then and Now series to thank all our amazing staff.... I delivered at the height of COVID, and I was scared they’d force me to leave her, but they and the hospital made it work. June stayed a week in the NICU, which I now know is such a small time, but it felt like forever. Every nurse that helped us loved on June like she was their own child. There wasn’t a day that went by that I felt June received anything less than the BEST. I hope to never need to recommend St. Joe’s NICU for anyone, but I tell all my pregnant friends to deliver at St. Joe’s just in case they need the NICU!! -Christine, mom To see more of these amazing little fighters visit: https://nicu.sjhsyr.org/
