Puppies had first baths today and mom too. They had a " scent" about them. Mom ( Maggie) is ready to be done with the deal. Now everybody is lounging in a heating pad after a quick blow dry...

Maggies new babies

Maggie is in labor since this morning. First puppy was a large stillborn blue merle girl. Second puppy....several hours later is a large blue merle boy, I think? Then two pointed black and whites..... Not sure of sex and another blue merle. She's no longer panting yet I find it hard to believe that she's done.....especially since she won't eat. So stay tuned? And wish me luck..

Itty Bity, my brindle girl had lost the use of her hind quarters yesterday when we woke up. I remembered finding a tick on her in the spring...so went through my unused antibiotics and found some Doxycycline. Damned Lyme disease!
