Sugar Loaf Engine Company

To all Chester Fire District residents, tonight December 8th from 6pm-9pm is the annual election for the Board of Fire District Commissioners. Voting will take place on the truck floor of Sugar Loaf Engine Company located at 1408 Kings Highway. Also on the ballot tonight is a proposition on modifying LOSAP (Length of Service Awards Program) for members of the fire department. Come out and vote to make the Chester Fire District the best it can be!

The Chester Fire Department, Chester NY annual elections were held last night at Sugar Loaf Engine Company. The following members were elected for Department firematic and civil officer positions for 2021: Chief: Patrick McKevitt 1st Assistant Chief: Mickey Phillips 2nd Assistant Chief: Tom Marchiano... President: Vincent Finizia Vice President: Bob Favara Secretary: David Knapp Treasurer: David Knapp Congratulations to all, and we wish everyone stays safe and healthy in the upcoming new year!

Santa will be visiting the Town of Chester along with his Sugar Loaf Engine Company elves on December 12th from 10:00AM- 12:00PM. He will be visiting all the good boys and girls before he goes back to the North Pole. He will be traveling along the route posted below (all times are approximate). Toy will also be collected for the Marine Toys for Tots Program along the way for those who would like to donate. COVID-19 precautions will be in effect for Santa's visit.

Sugar Loaf Engine Company would like to wish everyone a very healthy and happy Thanksgiving!! We would also like to thank all our brothers and sisters who are working today, keeping us safe, and who cannot be with their families and loved ones.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 there will be no Toys for Tots train stopping in Sugar Loaf this year. Fortunately, we are still collecting toys for the Marine Toys for Tots program. There is currently a collection box located outside of Sugar Loaf Engine Company located at 1408 Kings Highway. We are collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED toys to be delivered to the Marines by DECEMBER 12th. While you are out shopping this holiday season, why not pick up a toy or two for a less fortunate child? Please donate and help keep a child's holiday bright!!
