THANK YOU all for the well wishes! We are so fortunate to have welcomed our healthy baby boy, Lyle, on January 18th. He surprised us 10 days early and therefore my maternity leave began rather abruptly It has been a wonderful week getting to know our newest addition. Over the next month I will solidify plans for my return and our reopening- most likely to be mid March. Stay tuned for details! I look forward to seeing you in the Spring!

JANUARY 2021 STUDIO UPDATE Dear Patients of The Acupuncture Studio, *As many of you are already aware, my family and I are delighted to be expecting our second child at the end of this month. As of now, it is my intent to continue to work with you all until I begin my leave the week of January 25th, 2021. ... *Unfortunately, we will not have another acupuncturist in our office to provide treatments while I am out; Therefore, the office will be *temporarily closing* beginning the week of JANUARY 25TH. This decision was difficult and was made based on several factors, including the rising number of COVID cases in our area. *THANK YOU all for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of your journey towards greater-health and well-being and THANK YOU for your understanding of the reasons behind our short break. I am so grateful for your continued support. *I very much look forward to seeing you all again when I return in MARCH. Oh no! A problem with our central air has unfortunately affected our hours for TODAY. We have rescheduled all afternoon appointments for Thursday, June 18th. We do not want to run the risk of anyone overheating in a very warm treatment room, especially with our face mask requirement. We truly apologize for the inconvenience (not what we had hoped for as we are just getting back into the swing of things). Fingers crossed we'll have the AC back up and running for next week! Our hours for tomorrow morning (FRIDAY) will remain as usual for those of you who wish to keep your appointment.

We’re OPEN today!! So much has happened in the past few months and we are incredibly grateful to be able to reopen today. Please help us in our efforts to keep the studio a safe place for everyone. Some things may look and feel a little different but we promise you can expect the same friendly, relaxing environment when you enter our space. We will be adhering to a strict routine of sanitizing frequently touched surfaces multiple times per day. All treatment chairs are at lea...st 6ft apart. Hi Everyone! So hard to believe it is MAY. Feeling hopeful that we will know more within the next couple of weeks about when The Acupuncture Studio can begin our reopen. **Please see the message below regarding our temporary Studio closure*** Dear Acupuncture Studio Friends and Family, There is so much advice and confusion about what to do next as the world, our nation, and our communities react to the pandemic unfolding in front of us. I am not sure any one person has the correct answer but something that stands out particularly is the profound statement that what we do, or don’t do, over this next week will have a massive impact on the lo...cal and perhaps national trajectory of the coronavirus. As uncomfortable as it is for us ALL, social distancing is being urged by health officials everywhere. As of this morning, Governor Cuomo is urging everyone to stay home and cancel all non-essential appointments and travel, even if you feel well. Schools have closed, public events cancelled, restaurants, gyms, movie theaters and various other public meeting places shut down. His message to all other small businesses across New York: to aggressively consider voluntary closings to help reduce density. This puts us all in a position to make some extremely difficult, important decisions. Decisions that even two days ago didn’t seem plausible. Our community room is one that during a regular week can see one hundred faces with patients relaxing in relatively close proximity. We treat vulnerable populations, patients undergoing chemotherapy, patients with weakened immune systems and elderly patients. Although I believe deeply in the importance of acupuncture for health promotion and disease prevention, I have to consider all that is at stake here and continuing to treat patients in our community clinic, given our set-up, has the potential to put people at risk. If by temporarily stepping back in respect of the massive efforts being put in place to slow the spread, means that we can potentially give our hospitals a fighting chance at saving lives, then that is what we will do. It is for these above reasons that the Acupuncture Studio will be closing temporarily. Our Studio plans to take this one week at a time and I can assure you that when the timing is appropriate I will be extremely eager to open our doors to help you all as we begin healing- healing financially, physically and emotionally- as individuals and as a community. Anyone with an appointment within the next week will be receiving a phone call. Further updates to follow. Remember that even though you will miss your acupuncture appointment, there are ways to focus on self-care at home too. Today, try going for a walk or sitting in the sunshine for even 10 minutes. The sunshine will help boost your immune system and ease your stress, I promise. Pause periodically throughout your day to take 5 slow, deep, belly breaths. The Acupuncture Studio will operate with normal business hours tomorrow (Monday, March 16th). We have not yet made any decisions beyond that, as we watch this situation very closely.
