The Peoples February Food Drive

Benny & I were proud to represent all of you that supported our iPhone raffle as we donated a check for $2,324.00 to the food pantry. We could not do this without your support. If you look at the picture you will see one of the freezers we were able to purchase from the money raised during our World Series pool.

A Big Congratulations to our own Anthony Achong Operations Director of the Freeport LICC Food Pantry. Anthony, Yolanda and the amazing front line workers at the pantry continue to serve record numbers of those in need. Your support of The Peoples Food Drive is a huge support to their efforts. We thank everyone who help support our cause to feed local neighbors in need.

iPhone RAFFLE A GREAT SUCCESS FOR THE FOOD PANTRY!! A great big thank you to all of you that joined in our iPhone raffle! Our phone winner was Lorne Birch and I believe the phone was placed under his tree for a Christmas present to his wife. The big winner of course is the food pantry and the over 60,000 people that received over a Half Million meals from them this year!!The raffle produced $2,324.00 to help support this great cause of feeding our local neighbors in need. W...e thank you all so much for your great support all year long. We give great thanks for another new freezer that was delivered this week with funds provided by our World Series pool. As a member of the Peoples Food Drive,( anyone who supports is a member) you are supporting Local families in need of food. All our donations go to the purchase of food and the equipment to store and provide that food. I'm a bit concerned with our upcoming annual February food drive as many of our donors restaurants and offices have closed down or our working remotely. I'm not sure what kind of negative impact this may cause our drive at a time when the need is greater than ever. We will take a few weeks break before we kick that off and hope that all that are able will go above and beyond this year! On another note, if you know someone in need of food please let me know so I can be sure they get the help they need. May the good Lord bless you with peace, health and laughter in the New Year! Rob

Hello my friends. Wishing you all the very best of the holidays! Hoping you are all well and healthy as we make our way to the end of what has been a most challenging year for all. This year has been especially challenging for those in need of food. So many jobs have been lost. Our front line workers at the pantry have done a tremendous job feeding twice the amount of people as last year with nearly half the personnel to do it. We have seen so many at the pantry this year wi...th such disbelief in their eyes, never imagining they would ever need a hand up to feed their families. Proud working people who only have come for help as a last resort. The People's Food Drive never stopped collecting this year. We have kept up collections and have had different events to help bring in the much needed food and money needed to support those in need. For those of you that are able, this is the last week to buy a chance for our iPhone 12 raffle. A great holiday gift or a nice phone upgrade for yourself. Only $10. for a ticket to win. We have sold a bit over 300 so far and would love to hit our cap of 500. The need is greater than ever and your great support is so much appreciated. Please help spread the word.
