Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has been shown to be an effective teaching methodology for children who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Diso...rder (ASD). Therapeutic Resources is offering an ABA training just for COTAs that will take place on August 5th 7th from 6-8PM through Zoom. Once you register, you will immediately be emailed a link to sign up for the course via zoom. Certificates of attendance will be emailed at the conclusion of the course. During this virtual training, COTAs will learn about: 1. The defining characteristics of ABA 2. The four principles of behavior 3. Reinforcement as a teaching strategy 4. Basic behavior management strategies 5. Creating and Implementing a basic ABA program 6. The OT students of Touro College NYC wrapped gift boxes for the Jared Project. A volunteer activity that wraps toys and fit the gifts in boxes that get delivered to hospitals all over NYC. There is an abundant need for these children to receive this specific type of therapy, and the good news is that COTAs, Special Education Instructors, OTs, PTs, Speech Pathologists, and Social Workers can all provide the therapy as ABA Providers; under the NYC Early Intervention Program.
