It is with sincerest apologies that this week's hours will be a little whacky. Thursday or friday the office will be closing early for a funeral. I am sorry to anyone I missed today as we found out at 830 am this am a loved one had passed. I will be at the office tomorrow for a while, normal hours Wednesday and back to normal with the exception of Monday next week. I need to pick up election suit cases in the morning.

A BUDGET HEARING FOR THE TOWN OF BUTLER WAS HELD AT THE BUTLER TOWN OFFICE BUILDING, 4576 BUTLER CENTER ROAD, BUTLER, WAYNE COUNTY, NEW YORK STATE ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 2, 2020 AT 7:00 PM WITH SUPERVISIOR DAVID SPICKERMAN SR PRESIDING. PRESENT: DAVID SPICKERMAN SR. SUPERVISOR DUANE VAN GELDER, COUNCILMAN JOHN DATES, COUNCILMAN... GENE VAN DEUSEN, COUNCILMAN ABSENT: CHRIS REED, COUNCILMAN ALSO PRESENT: Kimberly Parmeter, Town Clerk The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present joined in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Notice of the meeting was read by Town Clerk, Kimberly Parmeter as follows: TOWN OF BUTLER NOTICE OF HEARING UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET, FIRE AND AMBULANCE CONTRACTS Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget for the Town of Butler for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2021 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk where it is available for inspection by any interested persons at all reasonable hours. Further notice is herby given that the Butler Town Board will meet and review such preliminary budget and fire and ambulance contracts at the public hearing thereon at the Butler Town Hall, November 2, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. The purposed budget and contracts will be for the period of January 1, 2021 thru December 31, 2022. Residents of the Town of Butler may be heard in favor or against the preliminary budgets and fire and ambulance contracts as compiled or for against any items therein contained. Pursuant to section 108 of the Town Law, the purposed salaries of the fallowing Town Officials are hereby specified: Supervisor $ 16,153.00 Town Clerk/Tax Collector $ 23,000.00 Justice (1) $ 10,052.00 Justice (2) $ 10,052.00 Councilman (4 each) $ 2,500.00 Highway Superintendent $ 55,683.00 By Order of the Butler Town Board Kimberly Parmeter, Butler Town Clerk Dated: October 22.2020 Supervisor Spickerman asked if there were any questions about the 2021 Budget or the 2021 Fire and Ambulance Contracts. There being none, Councilman Van Deusen made a motion to close the hearing at 7:05pm. Seconded by Councilman Dates, All were in Favor. Carried. Councilman Dates made a motion to adopt the 2021 Budget and 2021 Fire and Ambulance Contracts, Seconded by Councilman Van Gelder. All were in favor.
