The Town of Fishkill Police would like to wish everyone a Happy Halloween! Please exercise caution when driving and beware of little Trick or Treaters. Stay safe and have fun!

Last night Town of Fishkill police received a call of a larceny in progress at the Home Depot. Officers located a dark color dodge truck fitting the description of the vehicle that just fled. When officers pulled it over on Rt. 9 the truck fled east on to Rt. 84 failing to comply. The vehicle was eventually boxed in and 4 occupants from the NYC area were taken into custody. A search of the truck revealed other possible stolen merchandise from unknown stores through out the Hudson Valley. The Detective unit is investigating where the merchandise came from. Due to bail reform appearance tickets were issued for a future court date at the Town of Fishkill court.

Town Hall in Fishkill has been selected as 1 of 5 locations for early voting in Dutchess County. Be advised that due to the extremely large turnout traffic was backed up on Route 52. We expect volume to be high throughout the duration of early voting. Anticipate delays on Route 52 and use the Millholland Drive entrance. Please refrain from parking in the lot in front of the Police Station to allow availability for those in need of police services.

Congratulations to Police Officers Anthony Luciano, Richard Archer, Timothy Cipollini, and Detective Darren Tracey (not pictured) on their much-deserved retirement. Total Combined years of service to the Town of Fishkill is over 60 years!!!

TRAFFIC ADVISORY Washington Avenue will be closed from Old Town Road to the City of Beacon line beginning October 19 from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. This will last approximately 3 days. Washington Ave will be reopened at 6:00 pm each evening.

*** SCAM ALERT *** We are receiving a high call volume in regards to our area resident's especially our seniors receiving a phone call that their social security number has been used fraudulently in an identity theft ring. The scammer's voice is usually a male with a foreign accent and is very convincing. He demands payments immediately to correct the problem or will send the local police to arrest you. THIS IS NOT TRUE... The social security dept. will never call you and will only contact you by mail. If you have any concerns you can contact us at 845-831-1110. Traffic Advisory: Due to construction on the Newburgh Beacon Bridge, there will be a lane closure on the eastbound span beginning this evening 9/24.
