This week has been a challenging one for EventPower. In order to continue to keep the health and well-being of all our athletes, volunteers, sponsors and specta...tors at the forefront of the event we had to make the tough decision to change our August events - the Smith Point Triathlon and Tri One On Triathon/Duathlon to virtual duathlons. It is disappointing, but know that it is the right choice at this time. We hope you and your families stay well. All participants have received an email about switching to the virtual event or deferring to 2021 or 2022.

Good morning. Hope everyone is safe. As you know Phase 4 is tentatively scheduled for the beginning of July. However, that does not mean that mass gatherings will be allowed. We are in constant contact with the Town and are waiting for a permit for August 16th to be granted. The date is on hold for the race but they cannot sign off on the permit since they do not know if mass gatherings will be allowed at that time. We will keep you updated. Stay safe!

Your safety is our utmost concern. We are all being faced with many challenges with what is going on in the world today and the risk of spreading COVID-19. Safety is our number one concern and priority. Community gatherings should be avoided today and in the coming weeks and as we continue to navigate through these times we hope this message finds you and your family well. We have a no refund policy, but in these challenging times we want to offer athletes options. We are working on these options and will send you an update by June 1st. Update on Upcoming Events: As time goes on and we continue to navigate through uncertainty we hope this finds you and your family well. Our thoughts and praye...rs continue to go out to all front-line workers and we thank you if you are among them. Below are updates on the next few races. We have a no refund policy, but in these challenging times we want to offer athletes options. We need to keep in mind we already purchased race items and so the following options are available: The Mighty North Fork Triathlon scheduled for May 31st is changing to a virtual event. All registered participants were sent an email with this information. Participants will have two options. You can select your option by clicking on the following link and scrolling down. LINK: https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Southold/MightyNorthFork Option 1: Participate in a virtual duathlon: Run 2 miles, Bike: 7 miles, Run: 5k. You will have one week, May 25th May 31st, to complete this and then would send your results to us. After you upload your results you will receive this year’s finisher medal, t-shirt, goodie bag and 30% off of next year’s race. In addition, we will include a custom pair of socks and a custom visor. All finishers will be entered into a post race raffle to win: a $50 Runner's Edge Gift Certificate, a Bicycle Makeover Spread the Love front door decal and a sprint race passport for the 2021 season. Option 2: Defer your entry to 2021 or to 2022. We do not have the date finalized, but we plan for the race to be the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. The Vineyard Run set for June 6th has been changed to a Virtual Run. Participants will have two options. All registered participants were sent an email with this information. You can select your option by clicking on the following link and scrolling down. LINK: https://runsignup.com///Southold/MightyNorthForkVineyard5K Option 1: Participate in the Virtual 5k and receive this year’s finisher medal (wine bottle stopper) and t-shirt. In addition, you will receive a bottle of wine from Duck Walk Vineyard you can choose from 3 different wines! You will be entered into a post race raffle to win a $25 gift certificate to Runner’s Edge and a Polar Heart Rate Monitor. Option 2: Defer your entry to 2021 or 2022. The date for these races are not yet finalized, but we will plan for the first weekend in June. We have paused registration for the Tri One On Triathlon and the Huntington Triathlon. We will be making a decision on the Tri One On Triathlon by May 2nd and the Huntington Triathlon by May 15th. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this together. Stay well.
