We're celebrating Black History Month at VetZero by honoring the important contributions of African American veterans to our country. Serving in Europe during World War 2, the 6888th Postal Battalion consisted entirely of 824 Black enlisted women and was trusted with making sure American G.I.s on the battlefield received mail from home. Their motto was "no mail, low morale" and the unit worked around the clock, seven days a week, and oftentimes in harms way: three members of the "Six Triple Eight" died overseas serving their country. Black History is American History! Thank you to the more than 2.5 million African American veterans who continue to serve America every day. We salute you!
Let’s sell out this beer! Zeus Brewing in Poughkeepsie is releasing a limited edition brew today to honor the memory of a true hero, Detective John Falcone.
Are you ready for our next VetZero Heroes Weekend? Join us February 27-29 to support local business and support local veterans, all at the same time! How cool is that? You can also drop off your donation for VetZero at any of these merchants, without a purchase. It's going to be a great weekend! Hope to see you there!
