VILLAGE OF WALDEN NOTICE TO RESIDENTIAL WATER CUSTOMERS Recent amendments to the New York State Public Service Law prohibit municipalities from terminating water service to residential customers for non-payment of an overdue charge during the COVID-19 state of emergency. ... Additionally, service termination is prohibited for an additional 180 days after the COVID-19 state of emergency expires for those residential customers who have experienced a change in financial circumstances due to the COVID-19 state of emergency. If you are a resident who has experienced a change in financial circumstances due to the COVID19 state of emergency and would like to request relief from service termination during the 180 days after the COVID-19 state of emergency expires, you must contact the Village of Walden Manager at 845-778-2177 or at [email protected]. These changes to the law do not eliminate the obligation to pay accrued charges. However, customers who have experienced a change in financial circumstances due to the COVID-19 state of emergency will be provided with the opportunity to enter into a deferred payment agreement without the imposition of deposits, late fees, or penalties. If you are a resident who has experienced such a change in financial circumstances and wish to enter into a deferred payment agreement to address any outstanding or accrued payments, you must contact the Village of Walden Manager at 845-778-2177 or at [email protected]. Additional information and supporting documentation from customers seeking to enter into a deferred payment agreement may be required. Village of Walden's Department of Public Works will be picking up live Christmas Trees beginning January 4th until January 20th. All trees need to be placed curbside and please make sure that they are cleared of ALL foreign materials such as lights, decorations, etc. Thank you

Village Offices will be closed beginning at 12pm on Wednesday, December 23rd through Friday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas Holiday and will reopen on Monday, December 28th at 7:30am.
