Fibroids are present in 5-10% of infertile patients and may be the sole cause of infertility in 1-2.4%. (Study: https://bit.ly/2PnilHt) Fibroids can cause infertility by obstructing the fallopian tubes and impairing the journey of a fertilized egg. Fibroids can also change the shape of the cervix, which may affect the number of sperm able to enter the uterus. Fibroids can even obstruct blood flow to the endometrium (the uterine lining), preventing an embryo from implanting in the uterine wall. #fastfact #infertility #fibroids

At VIVA EVE, Jessica helps patients with fibroids, which starts with actively listening to their complaints. She has a detailed discussion with her... patients on the etiology of fibroids, symptoms, and treatment options. Her goal is to efficiently help them move through the process of finding the best treatment options for their symptomatic fibroids all while making sure they feel heard and supported. Working as a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health is truly a rewarding career for Jessica. Having a trusting rapport with her patients allows her to be there for them in every milestone of their health.
