The Walter Elwood Museum will be closed Wednesday, 11/25 through Friday, 11/27 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will reopen on Monday, 11/30 at 10am. Happy Thanksgiving all!

The Museum Talk scheduled for this Sunday with Jean Barnoski has been rescheduled to October 4th. Please spread the word and mark your calendars!

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said yesterday that the regions were on track for phase four and he gave official clearance today in a press release. The other regions ente...ring phase four tomorrow are the Mohawk Valley, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier and North Country. The fourth phase of the restart plan focuses on the arts, entertainment and education. Sites like museums, zoos and aquariums are set to reopen. The Elwood Museum is happy to announce that we will be reopening on Monday, June 29th at 10 am - 3 pm weekdays. Masks will be required for touring the Museum. Disposable gloves will be available and required for handling books and archival materials. Our thanks to Sara Director at Montgomery County Public Health for the 4 gallons of hand sanitizer that we will have on site at entrance, in Library and in our restrooms. See more
