COVID-19 Precautions at Katz Family Dentistry http://vlnkx.com/j2_q4ox

Katz Family Dentistry, P.C. 24.08.2020

Due to the Covid-19 virus, we at Katz Family Dentistry, have been putting in place extra precautions to help ensure the safety of your family and our staff. We pride ourselves on providing our patients with the best all-around experience. While you may think this primarily applies to teeth, we also feel that providing clean, fresh air is an integral part of your visit. As such, we utilize Medify air purifiers throughout our office. Specifically, our office just purchased 6, ...MA-40 model air purifiers which are very similar to the purifiers used in hospitals. Based on the size of our rooms, they will turn the air over up to 15 times per hour. They use a four-stage air filtration system to clean and sterilize indoor air. These stages include: Stage 1- Pre-filter removes hair, fibers and large particles like dander. Stage 2 - The high-efficiency H13 HEPA filter is tested to removed 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns. This medical-grade filter easily catches pollen, dust mites and other tiny airborne particles you can’t see. Stage 3- A substantial carbon filter with carbon pellets removes toxic odors, smoke, and formaldehyde. Stage 4 - The anion generator produces negative ions to charge particles and trap them inside the unit and give your air a fresh feel. As you can see, the Medify purifier filters, traps, and destroys practically anything you shouldn’t be breathing, leaving you with nothing but the freshest indoor air available. To further prevent transmission of COVID-19, we are limiting the volume of patients in the office. You can text or call us when you arrive and we will notify you when to come in for your appointment. That way, we can minimize your time in the waiting room. If you have questions about the precautions we are taking, don’t hesitate to contact us at (585) 671-2340

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, our team has been discussing ways to continue delivering our patients the best quality care while prioritizing keeping the public and our workforce safe. As per the recommendation of the ADA and CDC, we will be suspending all non-emergency dental procedures for the next 2 weeks. With that being said, we will address dental emergencies as they arise. If you have an appointment within this period, we will be contacting you to resche...dule. As of now, we plan on being back up and running by April 1st, but will keep you posted. While this disruption has occurred suddenly in the face of an unprecedented time in history, we want to emphasize the importance of slowing the spread and flattening the curve to allow our medical colleagues to treat infected patients. As such, we have decided to err on the side of extreme caution. We believe that by shutting down now, we can lead the way in limiting infections and slowing the spread of the virus. Thank you for your patience and flexibility. We are confident that we will get through this challenging time by doing what we do best: standing together and supporting one another. We look forward to treating you again soon. Stay Healthy and Safe, Dr. Katz and Staff
