Wedding Warehouse 26.06.2021

To my Brides of Long Island members, No one had any idea how the coronavirus would so severely impact our lives, and what the aftermath would look like. For three months, I watched bride after bride have to make the tough decision of canceling, postponing, or rethink their weddings. It has caused so much sadness for each and every one of my brides. I have felt helpless, and wanted nothing more than to be able to snap my wedding fingers and make it all better for you, but I co...uldn’t. I have preached over and over to all of you to remember the purpose of getting married, and how no matter what, you still have your soulmate with you, even if that means changing your vision or date. I am so sorry for all of you who were affected and the major amount of stress and frustration this has caused so many of you. With that being said, I had to make the extremely difficult decision to close my boutique, Wedding Warehouse. As many of you know, I left my corporate NYC job to create this space for my members. I have put everything I know and love into this store, and I can’t tell you how devastating this is for me. The effects of COVID-19 on the wedding industry don’t go away once we reopen. Everything has changed, weddings have almost all been moved for the year, and the financial burden of being closed for three months really puts us in a difficult situation. I will greatly miss meeting you, helping you, guiding you, and simply just talking to you while in the shop. I have to say for the last 2.5 years, while running the store, I woke up every single day happy, excited and ready to go to work - something I am truly grateful for. I want to thank the thousands of you who have come in, supported and cheered me on every step of the way. Being in the wedding industry is something I was born to do and although it won’t be in a storefront - I will always be here doing what I can for all of you. I will be taking some time home with my daughter once she is born in August, and then it will be full steam toward building the Brides of Long Island community, brand and lifestyle. Days before opening the store, I got very cold feet and considered backing out. My grandmother sent me a cute little meme that said: But what if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly. I will never forget the confidence that this gave me. Although I am closing one door, I know I have 100 more to fly through in my future, thanks to the drive and confidence you all have given me. Love Always, Heather Cunningham July 1-3 11:00-2:00 Starting July 6th we will be open Monday-Saturday 11-7. The entire store will be 40% off.
