The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution and digital archiving platform offering a series of individual artist grants on a bi-annual basis totaling $10,000.00 USD. The Hopper Prize was established for the sole purpose of advancing the field of visual art by providing direct financial assistance to artists in the form of unrestricted fellowships. We view the field of visual arts in its broadest and most inclusive sense and therefore make our awards available to artists ...engaged in artistic practices spanning all methods of production. Winners are determined by a panel of distinguished guest curators on the basis of artistic excellence and the promise of future potential. Our program seeks to support artists who demonstrate a serious commitment to the field and who currently need direct financial support to further their artistic practice. 2018 Capacity Building Grant (CBG) Applications are Now Available! A program of the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester, made possible with funds from Rochester Area Community Foundation Do you want to strengthen your organization’s ability to better meet its mission and goals by ...... Retaining a consultant to train your board and staff on new fundraising strategies? Upgrading your website to increase ticket sales or other earned income? Acquiring new equipment to improve the experience of your audience? These are just a few of the types of projects that the Capacity Building Grant Program funds help nonprofit organizations in our region provide the best in arts, cultural and heritage programming in the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes Region. To be eligible for funding, your organization must be: -A duly designated 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization with an arts, cultural or heritage mission and goals -Located in Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne or Yates County -Operating on an annual budget at or below $500,000; -In need of improving an aspect of management, fundraising, and/or operating capability -Capable of accomplishing this improvement project in 2019; and, In need of between $500 and $2,500 in grant support to reach your organizational goals! Rochester Contemporary Art Center's 7th Annual Mixology Fundraiser: Art of the Mix was a huge success this past Monday. Congrats RoCo!

The Arts ARE important to our community! ACCGR Board Member, Eric Townell represented the Council in an Arts panel discussion with students in the Emerging Leaders Program through Leadership Rochester. We are thrilled to have been apart of this event and are excited about what the future holds for students in the program!
