This floor is old! It’s been hidden by a sun floor since at least the 1980s. When we looked at the space we saw 12+ inches of more vertical space and are thrilled it’s uncovered. The floor shows years of use, and we’re preserving the marks for all to see! You can still donate to support our build out! Link in bio!

Big congrats to @andrea.alvarez.ch on her show at @albrightknox Northland. Can’t help but photograph the Raúl De Nieves installation (photo 1) but our favorite was the Ronny Quevedo court (photo 2). Proud to have Andrea on our @bica.buffalo board!

Ryan Arthurs is selling an edition of prints to support our move to Essex Street! This print is from Arthurs' series Masculine Decoys, which consists of portraits of Navy sailors silkscreened with decorative floral patterns. These patterns act as a form of camouflage, concealing the decoys with a lattice of navy blue flowers. The series is inspired by a 1919 sex scandal in the Navy, where handsome young men were deployed as decoys to trap homosexual sailors. Ryan is selling t...hem for $300 each (a serious discount) and all the proceeds will support BICA. DM us or @rivalryprojects to buy or if you have questions. . Masculine Decoy (Division), 2017 approx 14 x 19 in. print on 15 x 20 in. paper / works are unframed Two color silkscreen on Arches 88 Paper Edition of 12, 2 APs Edition Reserved for Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art Read more about the series at the link in our bio! Signal boost! Sponsor Cornelia, promote your business! . Posted @withregram @corneliamagazine We need sponsors for our next issue! . Cornelia Magazine is a non-profit project and is fully supported by our advertising sponsors. We're cooking up a REALLY cool issue, but we can't do it without the support of businesses and individuals who in turn can promote their business, product, or ideas on our pages. Our print rates are (probably) the cheapest in town: $500 gets you... a FULL PAGE! . Last issue @usoniawine took out a full-page to promote their amazing new wine. Be like them! Show your support for the visual arts and share your own amazing projects. . More info at the link in our bio! . . . #buffalobusiness See more

"Refugees work for years through countless trials to have a safe home and it is truly heartbreaking to see them have to struggle after finally making a home here in Buffalo." If you have any money to spare, this is a great place to put it today.
