Matthew J. Seery is the author of two novels, Caste American and The Record Prophets, and has been a high school English teacher since 2006. He earned his B.A. in English from SUNY Albany in 2004 and his MS in Secondary Education from Dowling College in 2007. Her first novel, CODE BLUE: The Other End of the Stethoscope, is a fast-paced medical thriller about Russian hackers stealing medical information to extort and then murder patients. The story is set in a true-to-life corporate urgent care center, and vividly illustrates the challenges today's physicians face as they are admonished to prioritize commercial profit over their patients' health.
