Although this has been stressful for most, this has also created many opportunities to help your child develop language, learn new skills, practice what they know, improve social skills, and decrease challenging behaviors. Due to Covid-19, the upcoming holiday season will be greatly different from those going back many generations. There will be fewer parties, smaller family dinners, and everywhere a fearful backdrop of the increasing spread of the virus. Although we may be limited to visits with friends over Zoom for the Holidays, and our family gatherings will be smaller than in the past, it is within our power to reduce the pervasive fear Covid-19 causes.
