Clark Manor House

We are so grateful to be able to allow visitation now per New York State guidelines. Please review the attached procedures and contact our Administration with any questions or to schedule your next visit. Today, we welcomed our first family visitor, Nancy, who came to visit her mom Helen.

Say hello to our new gardener, Amy, who started in mid-June. She has been very busy cleaning up the yard and has been moving plants from the side of the house where the addition will be. We are grateful to have you, Amy. Regarding the photos- I can’t remember ever being able to see the entire side of the house from the back yard but with the trees removed on that side, it’s a neat view of the house. Also, take a look at the very large apple tree in the back yard that is very... plentiful with fruit. Does anyone know their apples well enough to know what kind these are? I’ll be back to pick some fruit soon if the deer don’t eat them all!

Yesterday we celebrated Millie’s birthday and she was able to visit with her daughter outside. We are thankful to have these visits and hope for the days where hugs are legal soon! Happy birthday, Millie!!!

Yesterday we enjoyed a picnic under the pavilion and breathed in the beauty around us. It was nice to be outside together.

Today we celebrated Dottie Gliwe’s birthday. With all that is going on with the pandemic, it’s so nice for our residents to experience a little fun and joy. What a blessing!!!

It’s nice to see the flowers out at CMH and as some of you know, our master gardener, Barb, retired. We are currently looking to hire a new gardener to start right away. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please have them email Debbra at [email protected].

We had a terrific parade of first responders drive by CMH from the VA before they headed down to FF Thompson afterward. The residents were all waving - as were we. Very thankful for them and our nursing and other staff. #HonkForHeroes

I know it’s last minute but the VA Fire Dept is going to do a parade through the VA and then CMH at 4:30 today. If any of our families can join in to say thanks to our nurses and staff, that would be great!

It’s always nice to celebrate a birthday. We celebrated with Stewart on Tuesday! He definitely enjoyed his pie!
