If you are a NY area First Responder, are experiencing symptoms of Covid 19 and are having difficulties being tested, particularly due to FDNYs policy of making members who present symptoms to wait 7 days before testing, these guys may be able to help. The system is so simple and easy to use. They have already helped to get members tested, sometimes in the mat...ter of a few hours. Insurance co-pays have been waived for Covid testing and your initial visit/consultation with the Dr can be done from the comfort of your own home, over the phone, though video conferencing. Not everyone will meet the guidelines for testing and the Dr can prescribe medications for other conditions. If the Dr feels you are a candidate for testing, they will schedule the test for you (usually the same day), at one of their testing facilities. I personally wouldn't want to wait in a Drs office right now, and chance exposure unless absolutely necessary. This service was initially enacted to help FDNY members who were having problems getting tested, but has been expanded to all first responders as well as their families. Marines - Sad to announce the passing of Msgt Fennel (USMC Retired)/NYPD Retired. 6th Comm Bn Marine. Unfortunately Top Fennel died alone in his apartment in the Bronx. No known family. The NYPD Marines and 6th Comm Bn Marines are coming together to ensure Top get the proper burial he earned. Too Fennel was a Vietnam Vet, Police Detective, and larger than life figure to all who knew him. I ask that you help send our fellow Marine to his final resting place with honor. Every year the FDNY Marine Corps Association runs a fishing trip benefitting our wounded veterans. We take about 50-60 wounded veterans out at zero cost to them as a small gesture of support and thanks. We are honored to announce that going forward this trip will be named in honor of FDNY Captain John Vigiano, who was a strong supporter of Hope for the Warriors. The 1st Annual..... "Capt John Vigiano Memorial Fishing Outing honoring Hope for the Warriors" ........will be held... tomorrow. These events cost money and as a relatively small organization, the FDNY Marine Corps Association is respectfully asking for donations to help offset the cost of food, beverages, ect.
