Spring has arrived at our front door.

Some history... Courtesy of the City of New York's "CityMap" project, the link below will show you a 1924 aerial view of our home -- 26 years before our buildings were built, and three years before the ground-breaking for the George Washington Bridge. http://gis.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/... The curved street at the top is 181st, and Plaza Lafayette is still apparent by its width. For reference, you can also check out the most recent aerial view (from 2008) using the following link: http://gis.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/ If you zoom out, you can see that a few of our neighbors were already there in 1924... and quite a few buildings that were there in 1924 are long gone. There appears to be a smaller building with trees, lawn, and a circular driveway where the 330 building now stands, while the area that's now the 340 building was empty...
