Talk To Me At The Barn Tweens and Teens. Are you a parent of a student that is having difficulty this school year? Are you observing a lack of socialization?... Are you noticing a lack of motivation? Are grades slipping? Are you concerned about to much screen time? Are you seeing a loss of interest in other activities? Talk To Me At The Barn Tweens and Teens will give students the opportunity to voice their concerns, learn coping strategies, get away from their screens for awhile, participate in activities with the horses and other students that promote emotional control, positive self-image, increased self-esteem, and increased confidence. Maximum group size per session is six participants. Mask must be worn when we can’t social distance. Parents must sign a waiver for participants under 18. All activities will be done on the ground, there will be no riding. Where: Palomino Acres - Caton. When: Session 1: February 7, 10:00-12:00 high school students. Session 2: February 14, 10:00-12:00 middle school students. Session 3: February 21, 10:00-12:00 high school students. Session 4: February 28, 10:00-12:00 middle school students. The Talk To Me At The Barn horses can give you the tools to improve each of those 3 areas which helps you generate confidence and become the best version of you. We will be starting our group Equine Assisted Learning programs back up in January. Groups will be limited to four participants and the program will be 4 one hour sessions instead of our typical half day sessions. Masks must be worn during activities that we cannot socially distance. Our January program will focus on confidence. The horses will help you develop confidence in yourself, confidence in your abilities, and confidence in your social interactions. The horses will have lessons on control, congruence, and connection which are all important in building confidence. Mirror Mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all? Horses are the best mirrors ever! They don’t care what is on the outside, just the inside. They reflect back your limiting beliefs, your level of confidence, when you are BS-ing yourself. If you choose to listen to what they are telling you they will be your best teachers. I have had awesome teachers in my life, Ms. Blowers and Ms. Curtis among them. I am a teacher and can only aspire to teach as well as the horses do. The lessons they have to teach can’t be found in textbooks. The lessons they have to teach are life lessons. Lessons for your personal growth. Lessons that stay with you forever.

Good morning!!! Many of you asked for and received my essay about Motivation, Momentum, and Courage. I hope you found some inspiration that will help with your goals. If you haven't gotten it yet, PM me your email address and I will send it to you in a PDF. I would really like to know what your goals are for this year. I have several, my top goal is for me and the horses to help you reach your goals. This is a little risky - I can't reach mine unless you reach yours!! A s...tep I am taking to reach that goal is reaching out to you here. I will also be continuing my PodCast, I have develop both horse programs and non-horse programs to help people. Another main goal is to spend more time in the saddle. The step I am taking here is actually scheduling my ride time. Often other things get in the way and my ride time gets pushed aside. If it is on the calendar it is going to happen. A third goal is to get serious about my fitness and running. I have scheduled a couple of races and entered a challenge. I can't back down from a challenge. Comment or PM your goal and any action steps you can take right now. Putting your goal out there creates accountability. A serendipitous meeting with a golden Palomino mare galloping into her life. The beautiful horse exposes limiting beliefs the woman didn't know she held, and gave her the tools to move forward. An increased sense of self-worth and the belief that she deserves to grow and flourish and meet the potential that is inside. Those that kno...w me know this is my story and the beautiful golden Palomino mare is my Hugsy. I am willing to bet at least part of this story is your story too. Especially this time of year when we are reflecting and setting goals. Our goal and mission (mine and my herd of horses - yes I discussed this with them) is to help you achieve your goals in 2020. It is a fact that most people do not follow through on their goals. We are going to help you obtain the tools, confidence, and motivation to do it this year. Hey Friends!!! Something new for us!!! Our first ever podcast!!! This was fun to do. I have a lot to learn and I am looking forward to developing our podcasts. ... I feel the need to bring the lessons the horses have to teach us to more people. I am starting by discussing the lessons my famous mare, Hugsy, had to teach. I hope to give you a little something you can use in your own life on each podcast. As we evolve I will include lessons the rest of the herd has taught to me and to the people that participate in our programs. We wrapped our book-study for Girl Wash Your Face. This has been one of my favorite programs. I observed so much personal growth. Some of the comments from participants: It was 100x more powerful to me than reading the book alone. The lessons and realizations of self-work with horses put the Authors Lies into motion. Read the book, then experience the words in motion. ... I learned how to address my issues instead of just identifying them. The class has given me the confidence to move forward to overcome some major obstacles. LOVE THE GROWTH!!!
